Kyle Ward

With every role, I strive to win. No matter how complex, my mission is to serve and contribute to changing people’s lives through my craft.

This isn’t possible without trustworthy relationships. Though they aren’t easy to come by, I value reciprocal relationships that bless each other for a lifetime rather than just a season.

When I’m not working, I am an avid praise and worship leader, fitness and boxing enthusiast, and scuba diver. I find joy in always developing passions that could serve my craft and mission in the future.

I am sure when we cross paths, you won’t find me to be an average young man. Since childhood, I’ve been taught to expect extraordinary things. I’m not looking to copy and paste anyone. I am becoming the best Kyle Ward I was purposed to be.

One talented student, Pharus Young, has been waiting for years to take his rightful place as the leader of the legendary gospel choir. But can he make his way through the hallowed halls of this institution if he sings in his own key? This riveting show is an intersectional coming-of-age story and a powerful examination of personal identity against institutional traditions: here, being black and queer in a prestigious all-male prep school. From Tarell Alvin McCraney, the Academy Award®-winning writer of Moonlight, Choir Boy electrified Broadway with its soaring gospel, spiritual, and R&B performances.
